Shoreline Counseling
A space to breathe. To feel. To come home to yourself.
Life can feel like a constant push toward perfection, holding it all together, and managing the waves that keep rolling in. While you may be the strong one, the one others lean on, you’re also carrying exhaustion, uncertainty, and pain that few people really see.
This is a place where you don’t have to carry it all alone. Here, you’ll find compassion without platitudes, insight without judgment, and space to breathe, cry, laugh, and grow.
Whether feel like you’re coming undone after years of holding it together or just beginning to realize how heavy things have become, you’re welcome to lean fully into who and where you are here.
Let’s walk this part of the path together.

I offer deeply personalized care that isn’t limited by insurance restrictions. I am a self-pay practice only. As an out-of-network provider, I do not accept insurance directly. However, I can provide a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement. If you're considering this option, I recommend checking with your insurance provider about your benefits.
A few benefits of opting for self-pay care:
Greater Privacy and Confidentiality
When you don’t use insurance, your mental health records stay between you and your therapist. No diagnosis is required to begin, and nothing is shared with third-party companies unless you request it.More Flexibility in Treatment
Private pay allows us to tailor therapy to you, not what insurance covers. That means we can focus on what matters most without session limits, diagnostic requirements, or predetermined timelines. No Diagnostic Label Required
To use insurance, therapists must assign a mental health diagnosis. Private pay gives you the option to seek support without labels, especially if you’re navigating stress, life transitions, grief, or burnout.More Control Over Your Care
We decide together how often to meet, what to focus on, and how to pace the work - not an insurance company.

Therapy is deeply personal, and feeling safe and connected is essential. I offer a free consultation so we can talk, ask questions, and get a feel for whether this might be a good fit. There’s no pressure; it’s just a starting point.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy that helps people process and heal from trauma, distressing experiences, or deeply held beliefs. It doesn’t require you to talk through every detail of the past. It can help the brain and body reprocess stuck material so it no longer feels overwhelming. We’ll talk together to decide if it’s the right approach for you.

I’m not able to provide crisis or emergency services. If you’re in immediate danger or need urgent support, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. You can also call or text the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988.

The length of therapy varies greatly depending on the individual. Some people may only need a few sessions to address a specific issue, while others may benefit from longer-term support. We’ll check in regularly to discuss how you’re feeling about progress and decide together what’s best. Therapy is an ongoing partnership, and I’m here for the long-term work if that’s what you need.
